Places​ ​to​ ​Beware​ ​of​ ​When​ ​in​ ​Hyderabad!

Hyderabad – the ‘City of Nizams’, well known for its biryani and IT hubs, happens to be a  trove of spooky and evil sites as well. Normally, not everybody knows about its terrifying  past and the dark veil in which it shrouds all its mysterious sites today. There are a  significant number of haunted happening taking place all around the city, about which,  numerous curious explorers have had an encounter with, and if you too are one such  ghost-hunter, then this section is tailor-made for you. Have a go at it!

Listen buddy, if you are flying down from Ahmedabad in one of those late night  Ahmedabad to Hyderabad flights, then make sure you do not come across the following sites enroute your destination, for these are breeding grounds of the evil and the dead,who wander miserably in the dark of the night. But, if you are one ghost-hunter kind of a person, then perhaps, you’d like to take a tour around these sites. Mind it, try and not go all alone!

1. Kundanbagh Haunted House

According to reports, this house was occupied by a woman and her two daughters who  were often spotted walking through the house’s hallways, holding candles. They apparently had hung a container brimming with blood at the house’s passageway. While  neighbors avoided them, a thief broke into their house and discovered their bodies in an  exceptionally decayed state. Police examinations led to the fact that the trio had died some  six months back. The story petrified the entire city, with frequent sightings of bizarre  specters in the house. From then on, this house earned its notoriety for being one of the  scariest spots in Hyderabad.

2. Shamshabad Airport

Rajiv Gandhi International air terminal was earlier known by the name of Shamshabad  Airport. It was established after a major dispute which prompted several deaths. The  bodies of the deceased were buried underneath the air terminal, and till date, angry spirits of those bodies frequent the premises. Once, representatives at the air terminal were  called in the enquiry room, where they got gazed and snickered at by a man whose head  turned 360 degrees! Even, a Qatar airways pilot ceased the plane immediately when he saw a woman in a white saree dancing on the runway. Need more details?

3. Erramanzil Headless Ghost

In Erramanzil, there is a house which is haunted by the soul of a headless man. What  happened was that a man was beheaded on his wedding by debt collecting authorities, however, his connection for his love for his home got him back after death and he haunts this very the house till date. Got goosebumps?

4. Golkonda Fort

Apart from being known as one of the greatest fortifications in India, the Golconda Fort is  also known for the spooky stories associated to it. Ruled by different dynasties over  centuries, the fort is believed to be haunted by the spirits of fighters and Taramati, a  celebrated dancer who is hailed as a standout amongst the most well known courtesan of  the Qutb Shah dynasty. Visitors to this place have reported watching a shadow moving in  the fortress and additionally, utensils being heaved at them out of nowhere. Even, sharp  cries of torment can be heard unexpectedly here. Visitors are not permitted to enter in the  fortress complex after dark. Beware!

5. Ramoji Film City

Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad is a major tourist magnet primarily because of two reasons.  Apart from being a favourite site for movie buffs of the nation, it is also said to be built  entirely on a battlefield. In context of such a terrifying arrangement, the Ramoji Film City is a standout amongst the most frequented spots in Hyderabad, with occurrences of fierce  assaults by undetectable powers being subjected to the visitors, particularly the ladies, all the time.

If these are enticing the ghost-hunter in you, then you better not wait any more, and head  out to these spooky spots in Hyderabad to encounter all the dark happening yourself. It is  still suggested to not trot to these spots all alone. After all, as the Greyjoys say (Game of Thrones), “What is dead, may never die”!
